Sandra Bullock‘s household is mourning the lack of her longtime associate Bryan Randall.

The Gravity star’s sister Gesine Bullock-Prado penned a touching message in honor of Bryan, who died on Aug. 5 at age 57.

“I am satisfied that Bry has discovered the perfect fishing spot in heaven,” Gesine wrote on Instagram Aug. 7, “and is already casting his lure into speeding rivers teaming with salmon.”

The pastry chef went on to notice how Sandra, 59, helped take care of Bryan throughout his sickness.

“ALS is a merciless illness,” Gesine continued, “however there may be some consolation in figuring out he had the perfect of caretakers in my wonderful sister and the band of nurses she assembled who helped her take care of him of their house. Relaxation in peace, Bryan.”

On Aug. 7, Bryan’s household shared that the photographer handed away after a three-year battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), which he determined to maintain personal. ALS is a nervous system illness that causes lack of muscle management and worsens over time, based on the Mayo Clinic.

“Bryan selected early to maintain his journey with ALS personal and people of us who cared for him did our greatest to honor his request,” the household stated in a press release to People. “We’re immensely grateful to the tireless docs who navigated the panorama of this sickness with us and to the astounding nurses who grew to become our roommates, usually sacrificing their very own households to be with ours.”
