Islamic State Confirms Loss of life of Its Chief, Names His Alternative

DUBAI (Reuters) – Islamic State on Thursday confirmed the demise of its chief Abu Hussein al-Husseini al-Qurashi, and named Abu Hafs al-Hashimi al-Quraishi as his substitute.
Turkey’s President Tayyip Erdogan stated in April that Turkish intelligence forces had killed the militant group’s chief, al-Qurashi, in Syria.
