Georgia Sheriff’s Deputy Arrested After Inquiry Finds He Raped a Lady Whereas on Responsibility

COVINGTON, Ga. (AP) — A sheriff’s deputy in suburban Atlanta has been arrested after being accused of raping a girl whereas on responsibility, Georgia officers say.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation introduced Thursday that George Rahming, 38, was charged with rape, sexual assault and violating his oath of workplace.
The Newton County Sheriff’s Workplace requested the state to analyze earlier this week after receiving a criticism towards Rahming and discovering preliminary data supporting the accusation.
Earlier than his arrest, Rahming had labored for the sheriff’s workplace for about two years. He has since been fired.
In response to arrest paperwork obtained by WANF-TV, Rahming is accused of raping a girl early morning Saturday at a faculty west of Covington. The paperwork say the girl, who was not beneath arrest, was in Rahming’s patrol automobile whereas he was on responsibility earlier than he ordered her out, threw her on the bottom and assaulted her.
