Police Say 4 From Philadelphia Killed in Connecticut Crash When Their SUV Rear-Ended Tractor-Trailer
STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) — Connecticut state police are in search of witnesses as investigators attempt to decide the reason for a crash that killed 4 folks on Interstate 95 in Stamford.
All 4 victims had been in an SUV that rear-ended a tractor-trailer that had slowed for heavy site visitors within the northbound lanes shortly after 3 a.m. Saturday, state police stated. The tractor-trailer driver was not injured, authorities stated.
It was not clear why there was heavy site visitors early Saturday morning. State police stated Sunday that every one circumstances concerning the accident remained below investigation. Based on the state Division of Transportation, lane closures on the other aspect of I-95 in Stamford had been scheduled as a result of development on the time of the crash.
State police listed the identical deal with in Philadelphia for all 4 victims: Joel Contreras-Paniagua, 49, Lorena Contreras Francisco Reyes, 59, Joel Contreras Francisco, 29, and Daniel Contreras Francisco, 23. The 45-year-old tractor-trailer driver is from Elmwood Park, New Jersey.
