Joe Rogan fights ‘f—ing cult’ at new comedy membership, welcomes canceled comedians


Comic and podcast host Joe Rogan stated throughout an interview that he’s been placing up comics who aren’t afraid to the touch “third rail stand-up” or “dangerous topics” at his new Austin, Texas comedy membership, by welcoming comedians like Roseanne Barr and Dave Chappelle. 

Throughout an interview with The Free Press, Rogan stated his Austin-based membership, Comedy Mothership, options comedians who aren’t afraid of exploring topics that some “don’t suppose needs to be humorous.” 

“And if we will be humorous with some s—t that you don’t suppose needs to be humorous, then that’s great, then let’s discover this. Let’s discover out, what’s that? Like, what’s occurring there? What’s up with that topic that everyone’s frightened of it? Are we in a f—king cult? , whenever you begin believing issues that you simply inherently know usually are not true however you say them and repeat them as a result of the cult desires you to do it — that is one thing you’ll be able to exploit in stand-up comedy, and that’s what stand-up comedy is all about. It’s all about that,” Rogan stated. 

He stated the membership was “arrange for comedians” to develop their materials because the institution requires company to examine their cell telephones on the door.

“We don’t do it as an alternative choice to comedy. We do it as a result of that is comedy,” he continued. 

Rogan’s Comedy Mothership opened on March 7 and tickets to the opening exhibits bought out in minutes. Some resale tickets are listed as excessive as $900 on Stubhub.

Comedians who’ve been barred from performing elsewhere, equivalent to Roseanne Barr, Dave Chappelle and Shane Gillis have all carried out on the membership since its opening.
