Chandler Parsons provides ‘race card’ warning if Nikola Jokic isn’t suspended for Mat Ishbia shove
Former NBA star Chandler Parsons sees the “race card” within the forecast if Nikola Jokic is just not suspended for Sport 5 of Nuggets-Suns.
Jokic received a technical foul for shoving new Suns owner Mat Ishbia throughout Sunday’s recreation after Ishbia held onto the ball throughout a play stoppage, a little bit of gamesmanship that would have conceivably prevented a Nuggets quick break.
Parsons, talking Monday morning on FanDuel TV’s “Run It Again,” predicted that there will likely be individuals who say Jokic received off evenly as a result of he’s white if he avoids suspension within the incident.
“This isn’t Malice within the Palace,” Parsons stated.
“He didn’t dive into the group. It wasn’t an argument. This was [Ishbia] truly making an attempt to present his workforce a bonus to his workforce in holding the ball, and the dude was truly holding the ball. I don’t assume [Jokic] knew it was the proprietor when that occurred. Clearly they had been made conscious earlier than the press convention, and I believed it was hilarious that they saved calling him ‘the fan.’
“However I’ll say this: Prepare for the race card when he doesn’t get suspended, as a result of I don’t assume he’s gonna get suspended, and there’s gonna be a lot of issues [like] ‘If this had been Draymond or Dillon Brooks, or anyone with a previous fame, he’d be suspended.’”

For his half, Ishbia referred to as for Jokic to not need to miss any time because of the skirmish.
“Nice win for the Suns final evening in an incredible sequence to this point!” the Suns proprietor tweeted Monday morning.
“That must be and is the one story. Suspending or fining anybody over final nights incident wouldn’t be proper. I’ve alot of respect for Jokic and don’t need to see something like that. Excited for recreation 5! Go Suns!”
