The pressure is powerful at these Might 4th ‘Star Wars’ weddings in Ohio


The pressure was sturdy with an Ohio choose who officiated “Star Wars”-themed weddings on what’s turn out to be the unofficial vacation for followers of the franchise — Might 4.

Six {couples} tied the knot on Thursday in 15-minute ceremonies on the Highland Common Gathering Spot in Akron with the unique 1978 film, “Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope” taking part in within the background.

One of many betrothed pairs, Julia and Robert Jones, marked the event by dressing as a member of the Sith, antagonists in a number of of the movies, and a Jedi, among the many heroes of the franchise.

The duo gripped lightsabers whereas they exchanged vows in entrance of Choose Ron Cable, who said that “by the becoming a member of of the lightsabers, and by the giving and receiving of rings,” he pronounced them husband and spouse.
