Belgium Is Wanting Into Iran’s Request to Free Jailed Diplomat in Swap – PM
BRUSSELS (Reuters) – The Belgian authorities is presently analyzing Iran’s request to switch jailed Iranian diplomat Asadollah Assadi in trade for jailed Belgian help employee Olivier Vandecasteele, Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo stated in parliament on Thursday.
In March, Belgium’s Constitutional Courtroom upheld a prisoner trade treaty with Iran that would result in Assadi being swapped for Vandecasteele.
De Croo additionally stated that Vandecasteele was being held hostage in Iran and repeated a name for his speedy launch.
