‘Lodge Rwanda’ Determine Rusesabagina Launched From Jail in Rwanda – U.S. Officers
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Paul Rusesabagina, who was portrayed as a hero within the movie “Lodge Rwanda,” was launched from a Rwandan jail on Friday, U.S. officers stated, after his sentence was commuted following intense diplomacy by the USA. Rusesabagina was accompanied by a U.S. embassy official as he was moved from jail to the residence of Qatar’s ambassador in Kigali, in accordance with two senior Biden administration officers who briefed reporters in Washington on the discharge.
