GREEN BAY, Wis. — Authorities in Wisconsin have arrested a person in reference to the theft final January of a funeral residence van containing a physique, saying he faces prices of abuse of a corpse and illegal possession of a stolen automobile.
The van belonging to Collins & Stone Funeral Dwelling in Rockport, Illinois, was stolen from that location on Jan. 21, and located behind a vacant Chicago residence on Jan. 23 with the physique inside, officers have stated.
The 23-year-old man was arrested Sunday in Inexperienced Bay. He had been charged in late January however had been at giant. WLS-TV quotes Rockford police as saying police in Wisconsin took the person into custody after a visitors cease.
The physique of a 47-year-old man that had been within the van was recovered Jan. 23 behind a vacant residence on Chicago’s South Facet, Rockford police have stated. The physique was returned to Rockford by a coroner’s workplace.
