What Happened to Jannik Sinner? Tennis Star's Shocking French Open 2026 Elimination

What Did Jannik Sinner Say After His French Open Loss?

Quite simply, Sinner shared post-match, the ball didn’t bounce his way. “I didn’t feel very well on court, but it can happen,” he explained when speaking to reporters following the May 28 loss. “I was in a good spot, also third set. I couldn’t serve it out. Then struggled quite a bit.”

Though Sinner noted his opponent “played a very solid match,” he was less generous regarding his own performance.

“I struggled, starting to feel very dizzy,” he continued. “Very low of energy. Tried to serve it out, but didn’t have a lot of energy.” He sacrificed the fourth set in the hopes of being able to hold court in the fifth, Sinner added, “Then it went a bit downwards.”

Though temps climbed past 90, Sinner didn’t feel too hot under the collar about the situation.

Explaining that he just struggled with his energy levels, he told reporters, “It was warm, but not crazy warm. I feel like it was quite okay to play. Really it was nothing against the heat, nothing against the weather. It was just me today, but it happens.”
