Ryan Sutter now needs to explain further when he says he’s missing his wife.

Ryan, 49, who fell in love with Trista Sutter on the first season of “The Bachelorette” in 2003, took to Instagram to express how much he misses his wife (again) — and now their daughter, Blakesley.

On June 28, he posted a photo of the two with the caption, “Missing these two beautiful girls…. (Don’t freak out. Everyone is ok, just on a girls/dance trip).”

This, of course, prompted comments from his followers.

“How sad that you have to explain!” one person wrote.

A second added: “Wait what happened? Is everything ok? Are you guys ok? Why is this happening? What’s happening?  😂”

In May, Ryan caused a stir with cryptic black and white Instagram posts about missing Trista, 51, when she went off the grid for about two weeks and missed Mother’s Day.

“I really wish I could talk to you. Ask you how you’re doing? How was your day,” he wrote on May 17.

“I’d really like to hear your voice – just for a minute. So many times I’ve called without much to say, not realizing how lucky I was or how much I’d miss the opportunity if it were gone.”

The next day, he clarified that he often writes his posts “without regard for how they will be interpreted and with absolutely no intent to deceive or mislead anyone – that is the farthest thing from my mind.”

“Trista is fine. We are fine. We’re great. Trista is at a place in life where she is searching a bit,” he explained in the caption. “An opportunity presented itself that may help her on that quest. With her family’s support, she has taken it. Part of that process means that she is temporarily inaccessible to us.”

“I miss her. We miss her,” the firefighter added.

TMZ later reported that Trista was indeed safe, and was just away filming Season 3 of the Fox competition reality series “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.”

She’s yet to confirm the report or reveal where she was at the time.

She eventually returned to social media during Memorial Day Weekend, joking about having “a nervous breakdown.”

She defended her husband’s posts, writing: “He doesn’t owe anyone any explanation or require permission to post what he wants to post and share what he wants to share. If you want to know the rest of the story, I will share in due time.”

Ryan, meanwhile, spoke about the situation further on Chris Harrison’s podcast.

“The intent is not to be like, ‘Hey, I’m gonna throw this out here and make people wonder if my wife’s alive,’ ” he said on the “Most Dramatic Podcast Ever” on June 17. “You know, that’s not what I’m going after here.”

“I’ll go months without a post, and then suddenly I’ll get, like, in a mood, and I’ll send something. And this was a particular thing that Trista was doing, and it was the end of the school year. It’s been kind of a long year for us, moving and lots of things going on,” he continued.

“So, whatever the culmination of all that happened, and I was in that sort of place, so I sent that out.”

The couple celebrated their 20th anniversary in 2023.

In addition to daughter, Blakesley, 15, they are parents of son, Maxwell, 16.
