Dave Portnoy threatens to dismantle NYC Barstool office in livestream leak controversy

Dave Portnoy is not happy with Barstool Sports’ New York City employees.
As the media company continues to lean into live-streamed content from its employees, Barstool’s Chris Klemmer took on a challenge to stay in solitary confinement for 100 hours in the New York City office’s basement with no connection to the outside world.
But Portnoy was underwhelmed by the live-stream of Klemmer’s challenge, lambasting it as boring as Klemmer spent ample time sleeping.
Warning: Graphic language
So Portnoy decided to abruptly end the live-stream without telling Klemmer.
Then Portnoy accused multiple New York City employees of secretly leaking a working link to the live-stream, and he threatened repercussions.
“I may clean out the entire nyc office,” Portnoy posted on X on Thursday. “It’s one thing to not produce shit. It’s another thing to f–k my shit up.”
Portnoy specifically called out Kelly Keegs, Jack “Kenjac” Kennedy and Gia Mariano as the employees who leaked the stream after he ended it.
The NYC offices were the main hub for the sports blog until recently when a majority of the talent moved into the site’s new expansive Chicago compound.
In a separate post, Portnoy posted a video of himself shouting “What the f–k are you doing? Wake the f–k up. Who f–king turned on the TV? Why? What the f–k are you guys doing in that office? Just d–king around, playing with a bowling ball, watching? You’re there to f–king work and make content. Wake the f–k up,” before calling and berating those three employees.
Mariano claimed that she did not tell Klemmer the stream had stopped, and that her leaking it was a mistake — not done purposefully.
“idk where this narrative came that we told him, he’s literally locked in a random room in the basement or that i leaked the stream on purpose [sic],” Mariano posted on X on Friday. “i was a complete dumbass but i would never purposely ruin anything. i was having fun with it too.”
