George Santos trolls NY Republicans after Mazi Pilip loses special election: ‘You f—ing idiots’

Lying former Rep. George Santos slammed his former New York GOP colleagues in Congress after Republican Mazi Pilip lost a special election for his vacant Long Island congressional seat.

The truth-challenged politician blasted his former colleagues for their “hate-filled” campaign to oust him from Congress last year after he was ensnared in a phalanx of ethical violations. The move further winnowed down the Republican majority — which Santos helpfully reminded his new enemies.

“I hope you guys are happy with this dismal performance and the 10 million dollars your futile Bull S— cost the party,” Santos texted a group chat of his former colleagues, several of their offices confirmed to The Post.

“I look very much forward to seeing most of you lose due to your absolute hate filled campaign to remove me from Congress arbitrarily. Now go tell the Republicans Base what you f—ing idiots did and good luck
raising money next quarter.”

Santos’ screed against his former peers was first reported by the Daily Beast.

The former congressman declined to back Pilip’s bid to replace him. She ultimately lost to former Rep. Tom Suozzi (D-NY) by just under eight points, according to the latest tally.

That’s similar to the margin that President Biden won New York’s 3rd Congressional District in 2020, during which Santos lost to Suozzi by around 12.5 percentage points.

“Sorry new phone, who dis?” Rep. Andrew Garbarino (R-NY) replied to Santos in response to his blistering text.

On Dec. 1, Santos became the 6th ever member of Congress to be expelled, in the wake of a blistering report from the House Committee on Ethics, alleging he “blatantly stole from his campaign” and lied to donors.

Multiple Republicans in the Empire State’s congressional delegation backed his ouster. Santos had long been under fire after revelations emerged in late 2022 that he fabricated large swaths of his backstory.

He was also slapped with a roughly 23-count indictment last year for wire fraud, making materially false statements to the FEC, aggravated identity theft, falsifying records, and more.

Publicly, Santos has similarly embarked on something of a revenge tour as well.

“To my former colleagues in the house GOP please make these idiots pay you guys $10million back,” Santos chided on X.

“These RINO’s are the most effective democrats operatives in the nation!”

Democrats quickly took a victory lap after Suozzi defeated Pilip, arguing it could be a harbinger of what was to come in November.

Former President Donald Trump suggested she lacked the MAGA credentials needed to win.

“Republicans just don’t learn, but maybe she was still a Democrat?” Trump bemoaned on his Truth Social platform. “Just watched this very foolish woman, Mazi Melesa Pilip, running in a race where she didn’t endorse me and tried to ‘straddle the fence.’”
