NFL bettors crushed for millions thanks to Eagles ‘Monday Night Football’ collapse

Starting at his own eight-yard line and in the pouring rain, Seahawks backup quarterback Drew Lock had ice in his veins.

NFL bettors had been all-in on the Eagles’ pregame, with 83 percent of bets on the Eagles’ moneyline on DraftKings and 79 percent of bets on the Eagles -3.5.

BetMGM Sportsbook also reported strong support for the road favorite, with 75 percent of the handle on the Eagles -3.5 and 80 percent of moneyline bets.

And now Lock is the bookie’s best friend.

In data points shared with The Post by BetMGM, the Seahawks’ come-from-behind win was the largest handle win for the book of the week.

It is tied for the worst defeat for the betting public on the moneyline in several weeks, with only the Lions’ shocking upset loss to the Bears comparable.

Those bettors, who cumulatively likely lost millions of dollars, can thank the longest drive of the Seahawks season through the rain.

The 92-yard drive beat an 88-yard opening drive against the Rams led by starter Geno Smith in November.

It looked bleak at one point, with the Seahawks sitting on a 3rd-and-10 from their own 34, but Lock slung a 34-yard pass to receiver DK Metcalf with ex-Giants cornerback James Bradberry and safety Sydney Brown converging on the play.

Betting on the NFL?

On another third and long, Lock looked deep again against an Eagles secondary playing tight man coverage. Sure enough, Bradberry was the target again.

Rookie receiver Jaxson Smith-Njigba roasted Bradberry to make a Willie Mays-esque catch over the shoulder for a game-winning touchdown.

Bettors probably began ripping up their tickets, which is music to the bookies’ ears.
