Joe Jonas Posts Note on “Doing the Right Thing” After Sophie Turner Agreement – E! Online

The agreement comes after Sophie filed a lawsuit Joe in late September, alleging that the “Only Human” singer was preventing their children—who have citizenship in both the U.K and U.S—to return to their “their habitual residence of England.”

In response to the suit, spokesperson for Joe adamantly denied Sophie’s claims and said in a statement to E! News, “Joe is seeking shared parenting with the kids so that they are raised by both their mother and father, and is of course also okay with the kids being raised both in the U.S. and the U.K.”

Under their temporary custody agreement, Sophie has leave to take their daughters to England while they are with her. 

The news of Joe and Sophie’s split after four years of marriage came on Sept. 5 when the “Cake By The Ocean” singer filed for divorce from the Dark Phoenix star. The following day, the two shared a joint statement to their social media. 

“After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage,” read their Sept. 6 message. “There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”
