US Says Two Pinterest Directors Resign From Nextdoor Board of Directors

(Reuters) – Two Pinterest administrators have resigned from Nextdoor’s board of administrators in response to U.S. Justice Division efforts to cease administrators from holding related board positions at rival corporations, the division stated on Wednesday.

“Two administrators who served on the boards of each Nextdoor and Pinterest resigned from the board of Nextdoor efficient Aug. 1, with out the administrators or both firm admitting legal responsibility,” the division stated in a press release.

The push to implement guidelines about interlocking directorates comes throughout a broader improve in antitrust enforcement. Antitrust regulation says that competing corporations can not have the identical individuals on their boards of administrators most often.

The Justice Division didn’t determine the board members. Nextdoor stated in a submitting to the federal government in late July that Leslie Kilgore and Andrea Wishom had determined to step down from Nextdoor’s board. Each Kilgore and Wishom are on the Pinterest board of administrators, in line with that firm’s web site.

Neither Pinterest nor Nextdoor instantly responded to a request for remark.
