‘Barbie’ is still the reigning queen of the summer box office


“Barbie” nonetheless reigns over the field workplace.

This week, it surpassed the $500 million mark, making its director Greta Gerwig the best incomes female director ever on the home field workplace, beating the file held by “Frozen II‘s” Jennifer Lee.

This week, the Christopher Nolan movie turned the best grossing ever at Hollywood’s TCL Chinese language Theatre within the location’s 97-year historical past, according to Deadline.

“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem” remained in third, with $4.05 million in gross sales.

“Meg 2: The Trench,” which was in second place final week, flew all the way down to fourth, incomes near $3.5 million. It has been reported to be the most costly shark film ever made, having value $129 million, according to Collider.

Supernatural horror “The Final Voyage of the Demeter,” which The Submit known as a “dud,” landed in fifth.
