The fireplace division responded to a report of a ship blaze on the fueling dock of the Metropolitan Yacht Membership in Braintree, about 14 miles south of Boston.
Braintree Hearth Division officers told WCVB {that a} retired metropolis cop jumped into motion after he noticed the blaze.
He instantly used his personal boat to drag the burning craft away from the gasoline and into open water, avoiding a catastrophe.
“This had the potential to be a catastrophic state of affairs, however the fast considering of the younger lady on the gasoline dock to hit the emergency shutoff and the actions of the retired officer pulling the boat away from the dock prevented that from taking place,” the captain advised the outlet.
